Transformational Leadership Award
The Transformational leadership award was created to promote the study and application of transformational leadership by annually recognizing an established leader who embodies the principles and practice of transformational leadership.
Community and national leaders attend the award ceremony to honor the recipient and to be inspired in their own leadership. The award is intended to expose them to a recognized transformational leader who addresses them with lessons learned and perceived challenges for the future. The award gives these community leaders an opportunity to reflect and celebrate the possibilities of leadership together.
Our 2009 recipient of this award was Brad Anderson, Vice Chairman and CEO of Best Buy Co., Inc.

Wright Institute for the Realization of Human Potential
The Wright Foundation for Transformational Leadership seeks to add to the field of leadership by supporting the training and success of individuals. Currently, the foundation offers student loans and scholarships to students devoted to studying personal transformation and transformational leadership at the Wright Institute, which offers graduate and doctoral degrees in Human Development.
Revolutionary New Way of Developing Leaders
The education offered by the Wright Institute trains, educates and transforms individuals, families, communities and businesses. Students become leaders who are constantly elevating themselves, their work, their communities and their world as they learn and grow.
Graduate studies are personalized and shaped around each individual's deeper desire to pursue what inspires and challenges them. This approach to education calls people to become their best selves while inspiring those whose lives they touch to also become their best. It's transformational education for transformational leaders.
The Wright Institute focuses on this personal transformation through "performative education;" that is, a highly personalized course of study that beautifully blends cognitive and experiential learning. Students research leading theorists in the field of human development, then apply their learning to change every aspect of their lives-from work to family to marriage to spirituality to community.
Transformative Learning Put into Practice
The education offered by the Wright Institute for the Realization of Human Potential is unlike any other kind of leadership education because it focuses first on individual transformation. This program starts from the premise that human potential is vast and that each individual is capable of more than he or she realizes. In the program, students work closely with instructors to develop the knowledge and skills needed to lift themselves and their organizations to their best.
